Maintenance and conversion of underfloor lathe for railway wheel pairs
Underfloor wheel pair lathes are used for the machining the wheel pairs of railway vehicles without having to dismount them. We have been involved in the maintenance and repair of such equipment for many decades. We have signed long-term contracts with vehicle operators, which allow us to monitor the condition of the wheels and perform necessary works in time.
At the Baross depot of Budapest Transport Company Plc. (BKV Zrt.) we renovated the underfloor lathe in 2000, and when the TW6000 vehicles were put into service, we made it suitable for machining the wheel pairs of this model, as well.
We made the underfloor lathe installed at the Hungária depot for Combino trams suitable for receiving additional vehicle types.
We provide warranty maintenance of the underfloor lathe at the Fehér Road vehicle depot of the Underground Operational Directorate of BKV Zrt. , with a guaranteed troubleshooting time of 4 hours.
