Expansion of the cogwheel railway device with bicycle carrier places
The realization of the won project of BKV Zrt.’s procedure was started by our company at the beginning of 2015. By purchasing self-designed and self-manufactured components we reconstructed half of the cogwheel railway’s trailers, thus they are capable of carrying 18 bicycles per train carriage. All seven trains were equipped with folding seats besides bicycle carrier devices, thus the number of seats in multi-purpose rooms did not change. After finishing work the bicycle carrying capacity of the vehicles was more than doubled. Based on travellers’ feedback the modified vehicles were highly welcomed by the cycling community of the capital.
